The Law Offices of Richard L. Pullano obtained $2 million for a man that was severely injured when a delivery truck struck him while on his bicycle.
The plaintiff was riding his bicycle on a dirt path on the west side of Cicero Avenue, approaching the Hawthorne Park Race Track exit. A delivery truck was stopped waiting to exit the race track at the same time. The plaintiff stopped his bicycle to allow the truck to exit. As the truck exited, the driver turned the truck too sharply, causing the rear tires to run over the plaintiff as he was stopped on the dirt path. The truck driver failed to properly use his mirrors while attempting to make the turn and pulled out of the exit in a dangerous manner. The man suffered a terrible leg injury that resulted in the need to amputate his left leg below the knee.
